at Brentwood on the Beach

AT BRENTWOOD ON THE BEACH
(Between Grand Bend and Bayfield off Highway 21 - approximately 1 hour from London)

This beautiful lakeside inn will host our art group for a weekend of painting and enjoying the beach. The painting theme will be "Simplified Landscapes" - less can be more! What's different this time? With arriving earlier, there will be more art instruction and painting time with Cheryl - there is a Friday night painting session.

Art schedule for weekend:

Schedule including art instruction, demonstrations & painting time as follows -

Arrive Friday between 4:00 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Bring a picnic dinner. Wine and cheese welcome provided by Brentwood later that evening.

Saturday evening is scheduled to relax, enjoy the beach (sunsets!), pool, sauna, or hot tub. However, students are welcome to paint during non scheduled times if they want, and indoor painting facilities are available as well.

COSTS - Payment by as follows:

ART INSTRUCTION

Art Instruction cost is $189.00 which includes H.S.T. This amount is payable to Cheryl O to register.

*Students bring their own painting supplies. Also please bring some of your own landscape photos for references. Some painters like to paint the location, and others prefer to work from photos. Either is fine, but everyone should bring some photos in case of inclement weather, when we would be painting indoors. (click here for a more detailed list)

Note: exception for this course - regular or watermixable oils may be brought for outdoor painting, but oil painters will be asked to do the following -

a. in case of inclement weather, only watermixable oils may be used indoors (no turpentines or solvents indoors). Therefore, some oil painters also may choose to bring along watercolours or acrylics in case of indoor painting.

b. wet oil paintings (watermixable or regular) are to be stored in your vehicle and not in the rooms

ACCOMMODATION AT BRENTWOOD - Accommodation fees are paid directly to Brentwood on the Beach

Accommodation cost is additional. Accommodation cost will vary depending on whether or not the registrant would like a private or double room, and also which room is chosen. Room are on a first come first serve basis - book early for the most choice. (The double occupancy need 2 names to be considered booked.) Non painting partners are welcome, they don't pay the art fee and do not participate in painting times, if there is available double room accommodation when booking. 1. Two nights accommodation (Friday and Saturday night)
2 . Friday welcome wine evening, plus all meals from Saturday breakfast to Sunday lunch.
